Future Electricity Markets between Liberalization and Regulation

Hosted by the newly established Center for Energy and the Environment (CEE) at the ZHAW School of Management and Law, in partnership with the SCCER CREST and the Swiss Commission for Technology and Innovation (CTI), on Wednesday, 13 September 2017, from 1.30 – 6.30 pm, on the campus of the ZHAW School of Management and Law.

Bringing together experts from various countries and backgrounds, the conference aims to contribute to the often ideologically colored debate on the issues of liberalization versus regulation. There will be a special focus on the recent experiences of the liberalized Australian electricity market and on the future regulation needs of Swiss Hydropower. In three parallel interactive workshops, experts will share their views and discuss questions about the appropriate support policies for renewables, the need for and design of capacity mechanisms, and the challenges of Swiss hydropower. Finally, a plenary panel discussion will wrap up the workshop results.

Please see website for more information on the program, speakers, and registration details.
