The new study program MAS ETH «Future Transport Systems» started successfully with 12 participants in January of this year. The program, designed specifically for professionals in the transportation sector and related fields, focuses on developing and implementing strategies and solutions for sustainable mobility systems.

The first MAS class includes professionals mainly from the public transportation sector (i.a. SBB AG, Verkehrsbetriebe Zürich, BLS AG), but also from the private sector (i.a. General Electric, Siemens Schweiz AG) and participants are currently completing the first MAS module (CAS «Systemic Aspects»). Starting with the Module Basics in January, the class explored case studies related to autonomous driving, a prevalent and central topic for future transport questions. Moreover, participants got first-hand insights from Prof. Emilio Frazzoli, an ETH expert in this field.

The next CAS «Technology Potential» will begin on September 4. Registration is still possible. The course covers topics including:

• Advancements in vehicle technology, energy carriers and infrastructure
• Applications of spatial information and communication technologies
• Integrated assessment of mobility technologies and systems
• User-oriented innovations and applications

Erster Durchgang MAS ETH in «Mobilität der Zukunft» erfolgreich gestartet!

Anmeldung für den folgenden CAS in «Technologie-Potenziale» ist noch möglich.

Der neue MAS ETH «Mobilität der Zukunft» hat mit 12 Teilnehmenden im Januar erfolgreich begonnen. Das Programm wurde speziell für Fachleute und Führungspersonen konzipiert, die im Transport- und angrenzenden Sektoren tätig sind, und fokussiert sich auf die Entwicklung und Umsetzung von Strategien und Lösungen für nachhaltige Mobilitätssysteme.

Die Teilnehmenden sind vor allem Führungspersonen aus öffentlichen Verkehrsbetrieben (u.a. SBB AG, Verkehrsbetriebe Zürich, BLS AG), aber auch aus der Privatwirtschaft (u.a. General Electric, Siemens Schweiz AG) und sie absolvieren gerade das erste MAS Modul (CAS «Systemaspekte»). Zu Beginn haben die Teilnehmenden im Modul Basics Fallstudien zum Thema Autonomes Fahren untersucht. Dieses angesagte und zentrale Gebiet für zukünftige Mobilitätsfragen wurde auch in einem Vortrag vom ETH-Experten Prof. Emilio Frazzoli behandelt, so dass die Teilnehmenden Erkenntnisse aus erster Hand in Erfahrung bringen konnten.

Der nächste CAS «Technologie-Potenziale» wird am 4. September beginnen und die Anmeldung ist noch möglich. Die Module umfassen folgende Themenbereiche:

• Fortschritte in Fahrzeug- und Antriebstechnik, Energieträger und Infrastruktur
• Anwendungen für räumliche Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien
• Integrated Assessment von Mobilitätstechnologien und -systemen
• Nutzerorientierte Innovation
