Swiss TechLadies – create the future
Swiss TecLadies is an advancement and awareness program in the area of technology and informatics aimed especially at young girls. Girls (13-16 years), who master the online challenge successfully, have the chance to participate in the mentoring program. During this 1-year program, girls are paired with female professionals working in the fields of technology and informatics. Mentors show their mentees how they can use their school knowledge for practical applications. The program aims at motivating girls to strive for technology-oriented professions. Robert Gnehm Grants for International Conference Presentations
Supporting conference visits of doctoral students and post-doctoral researchers with young children
After a successful start we can announce the fourth round of Robert-Gnehm-Grants. Again, doctoral students and post-doctoral researchers can apply for financial support (max. 3’000 CHF) if they want to attend a conference with extra costs for childcare.
Applicants are eligible for this support if they present their own research results at an important conference and can document the extra childcare expenses for children up to 18 months.

PRIMA - A new SNF funding instrument for female postdoctoral students
PRIMA grants are aimed at excellent female researchers from Switzerland and abroad who aspire to a professorship in Switzerland. PRIMA grantees lead their own research project at a Swiss higher education institution. They work independently and have a team of their own.

Fix the Leaky Pipeline - a career building program for women in science
The Fix the Leaky Pipeline program offers young female scientists (PhD students, PhDs and others) the opportunity to reflect on their professional situations, develop a strategy for embarking or continuing on their career paths, receive further targeted training and extend their personal and scientific networks.

Marie Heim-Vögtlin – Promotion of women
Marie Heim-Vögtlin (MHV) grants are aimed at female researchers who have had to interrupt or reduce their scientific activities for family reasons. The grants enable them to restart or continue their research at a Swiss higher education institution and to improve their scientific profile. Submission deadline: 2 August 2015!
New family support measures for postdocs from the SNSF: 120% support grant
In its Action Plan 2013-2016, the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) places an emphasis on ensuring that a sufficient number of young scientists come to the fore in Switzerland. One corresponding measure is the new "120% support grant", which enables postdocs to stay on track with their academic career despite family commitments.
